The author of JAMES BONG BLOG maintains his church membership with one Baptist church in Johor Bahru, the church is a member of Malaysia Baptist Convention. He is the member since 1994, and he held different positions in the past years as ordinary council member, deacon and vice-chairman(1998-2004).

JBBC Mandarin Service (2019-2022)
In January 2019, the author with two other leader pioneered a Chinese ministry in JBBC. Formerly, the group was an English conversational class for the elderly.
